ABOUT ANNE JAMISON, owner

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! I am thrilled to be an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Nutrition Coach and Behavior Change Specialist, and I proudly hold additional certifications of completion from Functional Diagnostic Nutrition’s Advanced Blood Chemistry and the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy’s Functional Approach to Perimenopause and Menopause and am currently working on my Menopause Coaching Specialist Certification. My educational journey includes a bachelor’s degree in Crime, Law & Justice from Pennsylvania State University. I joyfully reside in beautiful Lancaster County, PA with my wonderfully supportive fiancé, a talented Chef and owner of Cabbage Hill Schnitzel Haus, our two smart, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful daughters, and our energetic Doberman, Blitzen!

My passion for health and nutrition blossomed in 2006 while I was a student at Penn State University, and since then, I have immersed myself in the fascinating world of nutrition, dietary theories, and various health strategies. I am dedicated to inspiring individuals to elevate their health through a functional approach, setting empowering goals, teaching them the joy of shopping for and preparing nutritious food, transforming unhealthy habits into health-enhancing ones, and guiding them on their exciting journey towards improved well-being through diet, education, and exercise.

I became interested in fitness in high school, but my love for it truly grew when I started working with a personal trainer in Virginia Beach, VA. Those sessions were intense, packed with barbell workouts, cardio, plyometrics, and high-intensity training, and I loved it! Upon returning to PA, I joined a CrossFit gym, where I learned proper power and Olympic lifting form and techniques and fundamental movement patterns. I enjoy strength training, higher intensity workouts and running, but I also enjoy vinyasa and power yoga, calming breathing techniques, stretching, mobility and balance training. I fully understand that increased intensity is not appropriate for everybody or every body, so I ensure that my work with clients incorporates a functional and practical approach. Recognizing that not every fitness method suits everyone, I embrace integrative fitness, which empowers me as a trainer and enhances the client experience as individuals to discover what truly works for them.

My nutritional journey truly began after years of relying on prescription medicine for hypothyroidism, spanning my teens into my mid-twenties. I made a bold decision to stop renewing my prescription and began my journey to heal my thyroid naturally. By transforming my diet and exercise routine, I’ve achieved normal thyroid panels according to the conventional medicine range. I was told I would be taking prescription thyroid medication for life! I am now focused on achieving optimal blood chemistry numbers in all categories according to a functional range. I firmly believe that true health originates from within, fueled by nourishing food and appropriate exercise, and I am eager to share my knowledge and experience with you.

A health journey is continuous and my health and healing journey now focuses on my gut and skin, where I firmly believe that all health—whether positive or negative—originates. Having been on antibiotics for almost continuously for 18 consecutive months as a young child due to ear infections, I understand how they destroyed the healthy bacteria in my gut, leading to an overproduction of antibodies and ultimately vitiligo—an autoimmune condition. Like many, I know exactly what I need to do, and while it’s not always easy to adhere to a protocol perfectly, I am committed to my path. Through careful eliminations and self-experimentation with supplements, I have identified the foods and supplements that enhance my well-being and those that do not serve my body.

In addition to studying how various foods and exercise influence overall health, I take great pleasure in preparing meals for my family and friends while sharing recipes and kitchen tips. Enhancing your relationship with food is a crucial step on the journey to better health. I recognize that merely eating healthy isn’t sufficient if there’s an imbalance elsewhere in your life, and relying solely on exercise won’t rectify a poor diet.

If you’re ready to take charge of your health through deliberate, incremental changes, you’re in the perfect spot. By taking control of your well-being, you’ll redefine your narrative, unlock your potential, and become the best version of yourself.
